Andrii Kostiuk, AZAL Airline Pilot (Ukraine)
I am from Ukraine and currently serve as a Captain of an Embraer 190 aircraft with AZAL.
I closely follow developments in science and technology. Armaments are, first and foremost, a means of defence. Effective defence reduces the likelihood of attack — a lesson that many countries have learned. Therefore, every modern nation needs to maintain adequate defence capabilities in order to safeguard a peaceful future for its people, free from war.
Compared with the previous edition, this year’s ADEX has changed significantly for the better. There are many innovations, a wide range of interesting exhibits, and the exhibition area has expanded considerably.
What particularly caught my attention was the development of drone technologies, drone armament systems, and navigation without GPS through the use of alternative satellite systems.
Overall, the exhibition stands out for its welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Global forums such as ADEX are highly valuable because of the wealth of information they provide. Here, defence experts can broaden their knowledge of modern innovations, new projects and emerging trends in the global defence industry.
Above all, an event like this reminds us all just how important and precious peace is for our world.
