Azerbaijani Minister of Defence Industry Yaver Jamalov, died, a source close to the minister's family told to the national media. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Defence Industry.
Jamalov headed the department in 2006, before that he had been the director general of the production association ‘Azneft’.
On the order of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on October 16, 2009, Jamalov was awarded the Order Shohrat (Glory) for achievements in the economic development of the country.
