ADEX 2026: A Parade of Giants of the Global Defence Industry

30 september 2026

On 30 September, the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX 2026 opened its doors at the Baku Expo Center. As one of the largest military and technology platforms in the Caucasus region, the exhibition brings together leading players in the global defence industry. At the same time, the Expo Center hosted the opening of Securex Caspian — the 15th International Exhibition “Homeland Security, Protection and Rescue Equipment”. The exhibitions are organised by Caspian Event Organisers.

Since ADEX was first held, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev, has visited the exhibition and sent official messages of welcome to its participants and guests, reflecting the high level of attention it receives from the state. This not only demonstrates the considerable confidence placed in ADEX but also confirms its status as a national brand of Azerbaijan with an established international reputation.

Speaking at the official opening ceremony of the exhibition, Vugar Mustafayev, Minister of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, expressed his gratitude to all foreign delegations, representatives of foreign companies, as well as the ministries, institutions, sponsors and organisers whose efforts contributed to the success of the exhibition.

The Minister noted: “ADEX reflects the scale of development achieved this year. The increase in the number of exhibitors is highly significant. Baku is bringing together an increasingly broad international community for professional dialogue in the defence industry. We do not view ADEX merely as a venue for showcasing products. Its true value lies in the work that begins after the exhibition concludes. Azerbaijan is open to joint development, joint production, technology transfer and collaborative research projects. We give priority to cooperation in which engineers work together, production processes are jointly improved, and next-generation solutions are developed collaboratively.I hope that the next three days will be productive in establishing new contacts, launching practical projects and building long-term trust.”

This large-scale event is one of the region’s leading exhibitions of military equipment and armaments. It is held at the initiative and with the organisational support of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and with the support of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

This year, the active participation of the United States in ADEX 2026 is particularly noteworthy.
