ADEX 2026 – A Key Event in the Global Defence Industry Market

3 october 2026

On October 2, the 6th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX 2026, the region's leading exposition of military equipment and weaponry, concluded its work at the Baku Expo Center. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva reviewed ADEX 2026 and the 15th International Exhibition "Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment" Securex Caspian on September 30.

Gathering 277 companies from thirty countries, ADEX 2026 brought together leading players of the global defense industry. In total, 52 countries were represented across the ADEX and Securex Caspian exhibitions. The exhibition occupied five pavilions of the Baku Expo Center and the outdoor open-air area. The maximum expansion of the exposition area highlighted international attention to Azerbaijan and the country's defense industry potential. This circumstance was noted by numerous foreign visitors.

Well-known American companies such as Northrop Grumman, SIG SAUER, Lockheed Martin, Vantor, and Ondas were presented for the first time. Rheinmetall and Rohde & Schwarz from Germany, as well as BAE Systems and other companies from the United Kingdom, made their debut. Turkey traditionally became the most widely represented country at the exhibition.

Fourteen countries were represented by national pavilions, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, the United Kingdom, China, the Czech Republic, Israel, Italy, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, the United States, and Uzbekistan. Among the traditional international participants were Roketsan, Aselsan, Baykar, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), and Havelsan from Turkey, Leonardo from Italy, CSG from the Czech Republic, EDGE Group from the United Arab Emirates, and INDRA from Spain.

One of the key innovations of ADEX 2026 was the national exposition entirely occupying the 4th pavilion of the Baku Expo Center. The open exhibition area hosted expositions by the "Azersilah" Defense Industry Holding, VLand Systems LLC, Improtex, AZDEF, and Exclases Holdings Limited.

The ADEX 2026 exposition featured advanced solutions for the global defense industry market. These included naval vessels and naval systems, military clothing and equipment, military laboratories, medical supplies, optoelectronic equipment and unmanned systems, radiation, chemical, and biological defense (CBRN), C4ISR radio-electronic systems and technologies, weapons and ammunition, aviation systems, video surveillance, security alarm systems, and other areas.

A great deal of interest from visitors was sparked by the new PAMİR 4×4 military vehicle by the Turkish company BMC, the modernized KİRPİ II 4×4 with a locally produced TUNA engine, and the VURAN 4×4, distinguished by its high stability and maneuverability in complex climatic and terrain conditions. USH Group presented the Italian company Beretta, the world's oldest weapons manufacturer. Az-Tex-Import exhibited the Italian military automotive manufacturer Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV).

A special place among the novelties of ADEX 2026 was occupied by military vehicles and small arms solutions. Alongside international manufacturers, Azerbaijani companies demonstrated their defense brands. The Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan was represented at the exhibition by a joint stand with subordinate structures.

The rich business program of the exhibition covered issues of the defense industry, internal security, education and training, innovation, and high technologies. Participants and visitors of ADEX and Securex Caspian took part in an innovation session, an interactive workshop, an academic session, panel discussions, and training sessions. These events provided optimal conditions for professional discussions and the exchange of experience. One of the key elements of the business program was the presentation of the "National Research Support Program" – an important indicator that ADEX firmly supports innovative initiatives and promising technological solutions.

Bilateral negotiations with the participation of representatives of Azerbaijani state structures, international delegations, and participating companies were of particular importance within ADEX 2026. These meetings contributed to the establishment of new business contacts, the expansion of military-technical cooperation, the implementation of joint projects, and the development of long-term strategic partnerships.

The large-scale event was held on the initiative and with the organizational support of the Ministry of Defense Industry and with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Turkish company Roketsan acted as the General Sponsor of the ADEX exhibition, and the American company Northrop Grumman as the sponsor in the "Partner Country" category. The organizers of the exhibition are Caspian Event Organisers.
